Head of State, President Irfaan Ali yesterday hosted members of the 19th Chinese Medical Mission for a farewell visit as they concluded their one-year tenure in Guyana. The team provided specialised medical services at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation and the Linden Hospital Complex.
During the meeting, President Ali highlighted the significant role the medical mission plays in strengthening Guyana-China relations, noting that their ongoing support extends beyond trade and economic cooperation. He praised the team for embodying the “spirit of humanity” and expressed gratitude for their dedication and sacrifices during their service.
