Two men, Osafo Peters and Alpha Poole, have been charged with abduction during a hearing at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court. The pair appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty and were charged under Section 4 of the Kidnapping Act, Chapter 10:05. Neither defendant was required to enter a plea, and both have been remanded to prison until their next court appearance on October 11, 2024.Meanwhile, five additional suspects connected to the case have surrendered to the police. Wayne Barker, a 34-year-old resident of Norton Street, Lodge, is among those in custody. Also detained is 26-year-old Aaron Alleyne, known by the alias “Cats,” who resides in West La Penitence. Another suspect, 21-year-old Davantai Mars, who goes by the nickname “Sharkie,” was arrested at his Middle Road, La Penitence home. In addition, Damion Barlow, known as “Dangles,” a 32-year-old from Norton Street, Wortmanville, and Dwayne Griffith, also called “Shiek,” a 24-year-old resident of William Street, Kitty, are now in custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
