Two of the five suspects linked to the abduction of Joshua David on Main Street have surrendered to police. Osafo Peters of William Street, Kitty, Georgetown, accompanied by a lawyer, turned himself in, while the other suspect, Alpha Poole of Lot 127 D’Aguiar Park, Georgetown, also reported to authorities.
Three other suspects, Aaron Alleyne of West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, Wayne Barker of Lot ‘G’ Norton Street, Lodge, Georgetown, and Dwayne Griffith of Lot 68 William Street, Kitty, Georgetown, remain at large. The Guyana Police Force (GPF) is focusing its search efforts in the Buxton backlands and undisclosed locations as part of the ongoing investigation.
Joshua David was abducted on September 26, 2024, from Main Street, between Quamina and Middle Streets, in Georgetown. Officers from Regional Divisions 4A and 4C initiated a search operation in the Buxton backlands, East Coast Demerara. Early Sunday morning, a team of officers, along with sniffer dogs, combed the area for several hours, but their efforts proved unsuccessful.
