The Office of Professional Responsibility is currently investigating a complaint against a member of the Guyana Police Force stationed at the Mabaruma Police Station. The incident, which has circulated on social media, involves allegations that the officer scolded two minors who are his cousins. These minors reside with the officer and his mother in Hosororo Village, Region #1.
As part of the ongoing investigation, investigators from the Office of Professional Responsibility have reached out to the victims’ relatives. The officer in question is also being interviewed as part of the investigation process.
