Nayak Alexander, a 20-year-old carpenter from Circuitville, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, has been sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple burglary and break-and-enter charges. Alexander, described by authorities as a “serial burglar,” was arrested and charged by officers from the Timehri Police Station.
Appearing before Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrates’ Court, Alexander faced five counts of burglary and one count of break-and-enter-and-larceny, in violation of Sections 229(a) and 233 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01. The charges were read in the presence of the six victims, to which Alexander pleaded guilty on all counts.
Following his guilty plea, Alexander was sentenced to seven years imprisonment for his crimes.
