On Monday, Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) launched the El Dorado Master Blender 2024 Special Edition Rum at the Guyana Marriott Hotel, celebrating 12 years as the official spirit of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
The limited-edition rum, aged for 12 years, symbolises DDL’s enduring partnership with CPL. It is a carefully curated blend of marques from the historical Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still, Versailles Single Wooden Pot Still, Uitvlugt French Savalle Still, and the Diamond Coffey Still.
DDL Chairman Komal Samaroo emphasised the significance of the release, stating, “This limited edition represents more than a decade of collaborative spirit and dedication between El Dorado and CPL, showcasing the unique heritage and flavours of our brand. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with CPL and our supporters and look forward to many more years of partnership and camaraderie.”
Pete Russell, CEO of Republic Bank CPL, echoed the sentiment, noting, “Demerara Distillers Limited has been a fantastic partner since the tournament’s inception in 2013. The El Dorado Master Blender 2024 Special Edition 12-Year-Old Rum is now available at local retail outlets and Duty-Free Shops nationwide.
