Police have launched an investigation into an incident involving a 31-year-old Operations Supervisor from Aurora Gold Mining Inc.
The man reported that on 10 October 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m., he was forcibly detained by three identifiable men at the Giftland Mall compound.
The suspects allegedly took him to his residence in Providence, East Bank Demerara, where he handed over $9.5 million to them.
Fortunately, the victim was unharmed, and the suspects fled the scene. Law enforcement officials have since reviewed CCTV footage, which captured the events.
As a result, a Wanted Bulletin has been issued for one of the suspects involved in the crime. Investigations are ongoing.
