The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has issued wanted bulletins for two men in connection with the murder of 61-year-old Aubrey Richardson, also known as ‘Gooby’.
The incident occurred on 24 August 2024.The suspects have been identified as 20-year-old Antwan Sampson, whose last known address is Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, and 23-year-old Samuel Browne, last residing in Kaneville, Grove, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
Richardson was shot during an alleged robbery at ‘Sattie Shop’ in Yarrowkabra on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway. He had left his residence in Kuru Kururu around 20:30hrs with a friend to visit the shop.
Following the shooting, he was rushed to the hospital, where he spent nearly two weeks in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before succumbing to his injuries on 5 September 2024. A post-mortem examination revealed that Richardson died of septic shock resulting from injuries caused by a single gunshot wound.
