N/A honours outstanding Guyanese cricketer Shamar Joseph

The Mayor and Town Council of New Amsterdam, Mayor Wainwright McIntosh, alongside Nima Flue-Bess, the opposition’s Shadow Minister of Youth, Sports, and Culture, on Monday, August 19, 2024, held a modest ceremony to honour Guyanese and West Indies cricketer Shamar Joseph.
The event featured the presentation of a distinguished piece of jewellery from the municipality and a fine painting from MP Flue-Bess.
The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Mayor Kirk Fraser, Councillor Poliann Schultz, Acting Town Clerk Devon Gallay, Acting Municipal Treasurer Ms. Gomes, members of the Town Constabulary, and other well-wishers.
