The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has issued a wanted bulletin for Damion Barlow, a 36-year-old resident of Lot 47 Norton Street, Lodge, Georgetown.
Barlow is wanted in connection with the abduction of Joshua David, also known as “Bricks,” which took place on September 27, 2024, along Main Street, Georgetown.The abduction has led to a widespread investigation, with the GPF intensifying efforts to locate Barlow and three other suspects who remain at large.
The police have identified the remaining fugitives as Aaron Alleyne of West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, Wayne Barker of Lot ‘G’ Norton Street, Lodge, Georgetown, and Dwayne Griffith of Lot 68 William Street, Kitty, Georgetown. Authorities believe these individuals may be hiding in the Buxton backlands and are continuing their search in undisclosed areas.
Two suspects involved in the abduction have already surrendered to the authorities. Osafo Peters, a resident of William Street, Kitty, Georgetown, turned himself in with legal representation, while Alpha Poole of Lot 127 D’Aguiar Park, Georgetown, also voluntarily reported to the police.The abduction occurred on September 26, 2024, in the vicinity of Main Street, between Quamina and Middle Streets, Georgetown.
A coordinated search operation, led by officers from Regional Divisions 4A and 4C, was launched in the Buxton backlands, East Coast Demerara. Despite combing the area with sniffer dogs for several hours, no arrests have been made.
The police continue to appeal to the public for information on the whereabouts of the remaining suspects as the investigation unfolds.
