A 58-year-old labourer from Enmore Seadam, East Coast Demerara, has been charged with the murder of Theodore Baynes, following an incident that occurred on 30 September 2024, at Haslington North, East Coast Demerara.
The accused, identified as Keith Jeffrey, also known as ‘Pugga,’ was arrested and charged under Section 103(c) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
Jeffrey appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court on 7 October 2024, where the charge was read to him. He was not required to enter a plea, and bail was denied. As a result, Jeffrey was remanded to prison.The matter has been adjourned until 6 November 2024.
